InDepth is an evolution of the State of Black Educators Symposium, focusing on immersive, hands-on professional learning experiences designed to equip educators with practical tools and strategies for addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. 

 The transition is in response to feedback from our community and the growing demand for deeper, more practical engagement. The success of our professional learning sessions highlighted the need for a format that offers more hands-on, actionable learning opportunities. 

The first InDepth event will take place on February 21, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri (University Missouri - St. Louis).

 While the Symposium had a capacity of 2,000, SBE InDepth will be capped at a few hundred attendees to maximize the format. We share this with the understanding that many will not be able to attend InDepth. We strongly recommend you register as soon as registration opens. 

 Registration details will be available on our website. You can also pre-register to receive updates and early registration notifications. 

 Ticket prices will be announced closer to the registration date. We aim to keep the event accessible while covering the costs of providing a high-quality learning experience. 

 The registration fee includes access to InDepth, including sessions, keynote addresses, and networking events. Attendees will also receive conference materials, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. 

 The sessions will be interactive and focused on practical applications, including workshops, discussions, and activities that participants can directly apply to their educational practice. 

For the first InDepth, the keynote speaker will be Zaretta Hammond.

 Networking sessions will be held after the professional learning workshops, providing opportunities for attendees to connect, share experiences, and build professional relationships in an informal setting. 

 We offer various sponsorship and vendor opportunities to help organizations engage with our audience and support the event. Details can be found on our sponsorship page. 

 Sponsors receive extensive branding opportunities, including logo placement on event materials and digital platforms, promotional videos, and exclusive access to networking events. Sponsorship packages are designed to provide significant visibility and engagement. 

 We plan to offer virtual components and session recordings to ensure accessibility for those who cannot attend in person. Further details will be provided closer to the event.
